About us

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to study kyudo with the International Kyudo Federation (IKYF) rules.

Established in 2016, we are members of the South Carolina Kyudo Renmei. Our sensei, Mr. Aaron Blackwell, 7th Dan Kyoshi, and Mrs. Reiko Blackwell, 5th Dan Renshi, conduct seminars twice or more a year at their beautiful five-shooters dojo which helps our members refine their techniques and etiquettes.

Though there is no formal instructor or Sensei on site, our members are ranked from shodan (1st rank) to yondan (4th rank). Our dojo is a collective effort.

To clarify respectfully, we are not formally affiliated with the Heki Ryu Bishu Chikurin-ha school of Kyudo; which has a study group at the Austin Shambhala Meditation Center, we are proud to call them friends and colleagues in the practice of Kyudo.

We welcome any one interested in study/practice with us the martial art of Kyudo.
